sometimes there is a brace on the back of the alternator..get in there w a flashlight and have a good look....
make sure u undid the neg batt terminal first...then undo the wiring to the alternator..
THEN take it off...
make sure you test your battery too....and replace your belt. if the battery is bad, it will ruin the new alternator. a slipping belt could also cause u problems..Peace.
