Second is loosen the adjusting bolt on the alternator that you tighten when the belt is tight enough and third is remove the other pivoting bolt at the bottom and pull out, but not before you remove all electrical wires connected to it. This doesnt include removing any other accessory that might be in the way. It really helps to draw a picture of where all the wires connect to for reference when reassembling.
