How do i change the alternator on a 1995 toyota corolla?

if someone can please give me the step by step explanation on how to replace an alternator on a 1995 corolla im pretty sure its as simple as removing two bolts unplugging the wire that goes to it and then sliding it off and putting the new one on i know im supposed to disconnect the battery but is there a way to loosen the belt first or does the alternator come off first i would like to do this myself rather then have to ask my dad please help the alternator on this particular model is right in the front very easy to get to right behind the radiator i am sure it is the alternator because i can jump the car and then disconnect the battery and it dies instantlyHow do i change the alternator on a 1995 toyota corolla?
I can't give you specifics on changing that alternator, but, I don't think it will be too difficult. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you EVER disconnect the battery on a running engine. The alternator puts out 17 or so volts and if it's working it will fry your ignition system. Way back before electronic ignitions you could do this to check an alternator, but NOT now.
